Baking giants, Speedibake, have been cooking up the recipe for success following a unique mix of training at Business Solutions LTD.
The college has developed and run a range of courses, tailored to meet the needs of employees, at the company’s Bradford and Wakefield sites. Speedibake is one of the UK’s leading producers of bakery products, with a range of over 600 goods and a turnover of around £70 million.
Training has included English at Bradford to cater for the diverse ethnicity of employees, management courses including presentation skills, motivation and confidence building, Skills for Life provision and food manufacturing training through Train to Gain.
Speedibake’s HR and Development Manager, Maggie Stubbs, said: “I am delighted with the progress we have achieved with the support of Leeds Thomas Danby. Currently, it’s a really busy time with tutors from the college delivering five programmes a week to groups of people on either our Bradford or Wakefield sites. We look forward to attributing business benefits to our learning activities and hope this is just the start to a cycle of continuous improvement.”
